Warning for Shoppers at Winners and HomeSense

Warning for Shoppers at Winners and HomeSense
Josh Pringle Thursday, January 18, 2007

Canadians who shop at Winners and HomeSense are being urged to carefully scrutinize their credit card statements.

The parent company says hackers broke into the computer system that handles credit and debit card transactions for the stores, as well as cheques and merchandise returns for customers in Canada, the US and elsewhere.
T-J-X says customer information was stolen and an investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the intrusion.

The break-in was discovered at the peak of the busy shopping season in December.

We'd like to extend an invitation to you and a friend to attend our Friends and Family Shopping Evening Wednesday Nov. 29, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. All stores are closed to the public - admission for RSVP guests only. We are extending special T&L family pricing to our VIPs, before Christmas! As an added bonus the first 150 customers will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Saab Salon Spa. We hope you will join us for refreshments and shopping at the T&L location of your choice. To help your significant others shop for you at a later date, we’re offering a Wish List service so they can be notified by email of the favourite things you hope to find under the tree. Hope to see you there...

Welcome

I tend to get a lot of emails about sales and events going on in the Ottawa region. So with a friends suggestion, I decided that instead of overloading Teri's Stories with info on deals around town and super fun events, I would start this new blog Shopping With Teri - You Snooze You Lose.

Please enjoy! :)
